Module 6: Exporting, Saving, and Managing Your Documents

Learn how to export, save, and organize your materials with format options, history tools, and class-based organization built for classroom workflows.

Overview

A finished document in Eduaide is only useful when it is used to help you teach. To that end, you can export materials in a variety of formats. Copy to clipboard preserves formatting, so pasting into an LMS, slideshow, or external document doesn't mean rebuilding the layout on the other end. You can also download as a PDF, Word document, Google Doc, or Form, depending on the resource. While editing your document, a red dot in the interface flags unsaved changes, and if you close a document without saving, Eduaide prompts you before anything is lost. Saved documents go to your History automatically. History is accessible in two ways: a quick ten-item panel for recent work, or the full History tab when you need to go further back. Each entry displays the resource type by color code, grade level, and class assignment, making filtering faster than sorting through a flat list of file names. Classes work like folders, but are built around how teachers actually organize their work. Assign documents to a class, create subgroups like "Period 3 ELLs" or "Accelerated Section," and your history filters accordingly. If you work across multiple subjects, periods, or student groups, you can organize your materials accordingly. Erasmus chat history is preserved as well, organized by time period in the nav bar on the left of the workspace.

Key Takeaways

Multiple Export Options

Copy to clipboard (preserves formatting), download as PDF, Word, or Google Doc--choose what works best for your LMS or workflow.

Save Indicators

A red dot shows unsaved changes. Save manually or get prompted when closing. All saved work goes automatically to your History.

Classes as Folders

Organize your work using classes. Create subgroups (like 'Period 1 ELLs') and filter your history by class assignment.

Complete History Access

View recent generations in the quick panel or full History tab. Filter by resource type, grade level, or class. Chat history is preserved, too.

Where Good Ideas Become Great Lessons

Start with an objective, a topic, or a source. Leave with classroom-ready materials you can teach from.
